Frontline Spot On for Dogs is a spot on solution for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations and for the control of biting lice in dogs.
It is supplied in packets of 3 single use pipettes and can be sold in different sizes, depending on your dogs weight.
Each pipette gives approximately 2 month’s protection against fleas and 1 month’s protection against ticks and is applied directly onto the skin on the back of the neck and safe to use for puppies over 8 weeks of age and also for pregnant and lactating bitches.
Each pipette of Frontline contains Fipronil. Fipronil is an insecticide that disrupts the insect central nervous system which then causes them to die. Once applied, Frontline causes hyperexcitation and this will mean that you will notice more fleas on your animal. Don’t worry, this means it’s working!
How to apply Frontline: Hold the pipette upright. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are within the main body of the pipette. Break back the snap-off top along the scored line.
Part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze gently to empty the contents onto the skin at two spots; one at the base of the skull and one 2-3cm further back.
It is important to make sure the product is applied to an area where the dog cannot lick the product off.
It is recommended to not bathe your dog within 2 days of applying Frontline.
Do not use in rabbits. Frontline Spot On for Dogs cannot be used for cats or ferrets due to risk of overdosing.
